Fire Protection and Detection Systems

Fluidline is one of the key players in the field of Fire Protection and Detection Systems. We have strong expertise in Designing, Supplying, Installing, Testing and Commissioning of these critical systems. We are registered with the highest rating of "A" Class with the Directorate of Maharashtra Fire Services Licensing Authority.

Over the years, we have executed numerous projects that can be classified as the following:

Fire Pumps

The Fire Pump is one of the most important parts of a Fire Protection System. It can be considered to be the heart of the system. It is extremely critical to select the right size of pumps to run the system properly with the required flow & pressure.

We have mastered the implementation of various types of Fire Systems Pumps such as Electrical-Driven, Diesel Engine Pump, Jockey Pump, Booster Pump and more.

Standards we meet
We follow IS 15301 and NFPA 20/ FM
Hydrant System

The Hydrant System is made up of a set of Hydrant Valves as outlets connected to the main supply of the water pump meant for fire-fighting. It also includes the Fire Hydrant Line which is always kept pressurized with water. This system is used for fighting the fire manually both externally and internally. The distance between the hydrant points varies from 60 mtr.-15mtr. depending on the hazard where the system is being installed.

  • In the event of any minor pressure drop in the system, the pressure reaches the Pre-set Pressure Setting for the Jockey Pump.
  • This leads to the Jockey pump starting automatically to compensate for the pressure differential.
  • In the event of opening one or more hydrant valves for fighting the fire, the Jockey Pump cannot make up for this water loss, hence resulting in a further pressure drop.
  • When the falling pressure reaches the Pre-set Pressure for the main pump, the main pump starts automatically.
  • In case of any electric supply failure, a standby diesel engine driven pump begins to operate.
Standards we meet
IS 13039 & IS 3844
Sprinkler System

Sprinkler Systems are typically installed on ceilings or sidewalls. This system comprises a water supply, a water distribution piping system and sprinkler heads.

The sprinkler discharges water automatically when the temperature reaches a certain degree bursting quartzoid bulbs. Since it controls and extinguishes the fire, it can work both as a Fire Detection and Suppression System.

Standards we meet
We follow IS 15105 or NFPA 13/ FM for Sprinkler installation and maintenance.
Water Spray System (MVWS or HVWS)

Water Spray System is a special fixed pipe system connected to a reliable source of pressurized water supply. It is equipped with water spray nozzles for application on areas or equipment to be protected. This system can be operated automatically by connecting it to an Automatic Detection and Alarm System or quartzoid bulbs. It can also be devised to work manually only or both automatically and manually.

Standards we meet
We follow IS 15325 or NFPA 15/ FM for Water Spray Systems.
Foam System

The Firefighting Foam System is one where foam is used for fire suppression. It efficiently functions by cooling the fire and coating the fuel to prevent its contact with oxygen. This mechanism leads to suppression of combustion. This system best works for oil, fuel and oil-based products.

The system is available in the form of three variants in terms of expansion. Fluidline has the expertise to provide services for all of them.

Variant Expansion Rate Features
Low-expansion Foam such as AFFF Less than 20 times
  • Low-viscosity
  • Mobile
  • Can quickly cover large areas
Medium-expansion Foam 20-100
  • Medium-viscosity
  • Can be used for solvent storage & cellars
  • Can be thrown to about 10m distance
High-expansion Foam Over 200-1000
  • Suitable for enclosed spaces such as hangars, where quick filling is needed
Standards we meet
IS 4989 & NFPA 11/ FM
Fire Alarm & Detection System

A Fire Detection and Alarm System is installed to detect fire at the earliest practicable moment. It must alarm right on time for appropriate actions to be taken (like the evacuation of occupants, summoning the fire-fighting organization, triggering of extinguishing processes, etc.). An alarm system may be activated by automatic detection devices or by manual operation of manual call points.

Standards we meet
We follow Indian IS 2189 or NFPA 72/ FM for installation and maintenance of the Fire Alarm System.
Gas Suppression

Fire Suppression Systems work by releasing a high-quality gas or a mixture of gasses into the air to reduce the amount of oxygen in the air that feeds the flames. Clean agent fire suppression systems commonly include three key elements: Notification Devices, Control Panel and Smoke Detectors.

Standards we meet
NFPA 2001/ FM
